Microsoft is ending support for Windows 10 in October 2025. Here’s what you need to know.

Note: This notice only applies to computers running Windows 10.
Medmont strongly recommends upgrading all computers running older versions of Windows to Windows 11 to ensure the safest operating environment. Please talk your IT supplier in the first instance regarding computer purchases and upgrades. To find out what version of Windows is on your computer click here.
Microsoft announced in 2021 that support for Windows 10 will end on 14 October 2025. Computers running Windows 10 will no longer receive security updates and patches from this date, putting your IT environment at risk. Medmont recommends upgrading to Windows 11 well in advance of this deadline, to ensure your systems remain secure and up-to-date.
Upgrading to Windows 11
If you’re currently using Windows 10, you may be already receiving upgrade notifications. Not all computers are compatible with Windows 11, so check if yours is using Microsoft’s PC Health Check tool.
Will your Medmont equipment work with the Windows 11 update?
Medmont Studio:
- Studio 7.2.13 and newer are fully compatible with Windows 11.
- Studio 6.2.7 and Studio 5.3.6 work with Windows 11 (but have not been formally tested).
- Studio 4 is not compatible with Windows 11 due to incompatibility with the USB licence key dongle.
Medmont Meridia Classic and Pro: Compatible
E300 topographers:
- With a USB converter box: Compatible
- Without a USB converter box: Contact your Medmont distributor
M700 Automated Perimeters (manufactured in 2014 and later): Compatible
M600 + M700 Automated Perimeters (manufactured prior to 2014): Older perimeters will continue to work, although models with fixation cameras may lose video functionality due to driver incompatiblity. It may be necessary to contact your Medmont distributor for an updated driver relating to perimeter and USB adapter connectivity.
AT20P: Compatible
Important considerations before upgrading:
Plan your upgrade. Speak to your IT support and your Medmont distributor before upgrading or migrating systems.
Backup first. Always back up Medmont Studio and your patient data before making any major system change.
Speak to your IT support about implementing a backup strategy if you don’t have one in place.
Note: Relocating Medmont Studio to a new computer may incur additional service charges. Please contact your Medmont distributor for guidance.
